Know what you want- (know thy self) Everyone wants a partner that is loving, romantic, kind, patient, attractive, thoughtful, etc. Doesn't that look like anyone of a billion singles ads? What loving means to you and what it means in action to someone else might not match up. Be clear and be specific.
You wouldn't go to the grocery without a list. Don't look for Prince Charming without your list or you may end up with a Twinkie. Someone that is yummy at first, but little nutritional value in the end.
